I went for a rainy walk today at the Arnold Arboretum, where I learned to ride my bike as a kid. It’s been raining in Boston for three days straight and a normally tiny stream was completely overloaded with water. Not only had the stream turned into a mini whitewater rapid, but it had also overflowed the banks and flooded the flatlands.

After getting home and changing into dry clothing, I open up my welcome packet from my business insurance company. Just three pages into the packet there is a full page going into extensive detail about how my policy does not cover flood damage! OH NO!! But this is a happy story: all of our equipment is dry, safe, and sound.
