SQRZ Shirts Taking Over Camberville Boutiques

Fending off the driving rains and homicidal Cambridge bikers, SQRZ v-necks, ringers, onesies and youth styles were dropping on local retailers today like hair from my father’s head. The SQRZ brand launched months ago and is a collaboration with Cambridge musician, coffee expert and graphic designer Christopher Stetson Wilson. Steady progress has been made finding great stores to sell the shirts. Not only has the process been successful, but it’s also been way more fun than I could have every expected. In each SQRZ location there is a an exclusive local retailer. In Coolidge Corner it’s the timeless Brookline Booksmith. And today two awesome stores were added: Passport in Harvard Square, Cambridge and Davis Squared in Davis Square, Somerville.

Dropping off new items reminded me why I was so excited to work with these vendors. At both Passport and Davis Squared it was thrilling to see oohing, aahing and other expressions of excitement from the staff upon seeing the shirts.

Some of you might be asking how I found these stores to sell the shirts. I was clueless a few months ago and decided to do the only thing I could think of: walk around the squares and see what happened. The boutiques I ended up working with were the most enthusiastic and, surprise, easy to work with – my decision was EASY. So thanks again Passport and D² (as the cool kids call it?).

Want to know the best thing about this day? I get to do it all over again at It’s A Gift in Union Square, Somerville (where, by the way, the brand new Union SQRZ will debut)!
