Quote of December
December’s a month of celebrations, eating, family and more eating. Every year I get together with my dad’s family around Christmas time (this year only two days late!). One of our traditions is to make stockings out of brown paper grocery bags. People bring art materials to decorate the bags such as old calendars, paper stock, markers, and foil. This year I started out by cutting out what I thought would be an abstract shape. It turned out to resemble a human’s upper body. After cutting a bunch of these out I started thinking about the eternal question “Who are we?”. From that thought I came up with a possibly even more eternal and impossible question, which is this month’s quote, “Who Are We Not?”.
