Custom T-Shirt Diary 20: Steve's House
Steve’s House is a day care in Brookline, MA. The owner, Steve, knew he wanted a shirt for his kids and staff to wear. But asked Evan Webster Ink to help come up with the design. Sometimes I personally do the graphic design and other times I work with others on it. For this job, I decided to do it myself. Steve wanted to keep things simple: some basic information displayed in a circle. While laying this text out I realized that by changing the color of certain letters and numbers I could make the text itself mimic the class smiley face, a perfect fit for a kids tank top. The image just hit me – and I’m glad it did because this ended up being one of my favorite designs to date.
The shirts themselves are toddler tank tops made by American Apparel and printed in black and white ink.
