How do you want to tell the world about your organization?  Whether a school band, a social league sports team, or an energetic new start-up, selling t-shirts that show your organization’s personality will benefit  your group two-fold.  You’ll raise money, and you’ll score important word-of-mouth promotion for your group.  Sold? Great!

This is the first post of a four-part series, where we’ll help you discover how simple (and fun) it can be to sell your own custom apparel.  More in-depth advice is on the way, but we’ll start with the basics in this post.

The first and most important step is to determine your audience.  Who do you want to buy your custom t-shirts?  What is their collective personality, or, what drives and inspires them?   We are here to help you brainstorm ideas and determine which graphics and layouts will catch the eye of your audience.

The next task is to figure out where your audience likes to buy things.  Odds are, your audience will be made up of people- and people like to shop for items in more than one place.  Given this fact, it would be wise to consider combining multiple sales channels to reach your fans and customers.

Overwhelmed?  Don’t be! We will break down your options over the course of this custom t-shirt series.  Look for the next update in the following week, and in the meantime let us know if you have any questions or experiences to share!
